The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) is pleased to announce the return of GemJammin’ in conjunction with the 2012 AGTA GemFair™ Tucson. Back by popular demand, this open-to-all trade professionals music jam, is a benefit for Jewelers For Children. The event will be held at The Hut on February 2, 2012, from 8PM to the last lingering note fades in the early morning hours. Participation and attendance is open to all members of the gem, mineral and jewelry industries.
On February 2, 2012 GemJammin’ Tucson 2012 will offer the opportunity for jewelry industry musicians to take the stage, playing together in an un-rehearsed, and spontaneous musical evening. AGTA is once again producing and underwriting this unique event.
“In 2011 GemJammin’ netted over $5,000 for Jewelers for Children,” said AGTA’s CEO Douglas K. Hucker, “I’m sure we can top that this time. We expect more musicians and more fans to perform and attend,” he continued.
Paso Robles, CA – 18 October 2011: MVI Marketing Ltd.’s Jewelry Consumer Opinion Council (JCOC) panel members are aware of the increase in gold prices and some have sold not just one, but multiple pieces of jewelry for cash within the past two years. The JCOC conducted a study ending 3 October 2011 and was completed by 665 panelists entitled Consumers Selling their Jewelry.
Three areas offered to consumers to sell their jewelry were studied: Local Jewelry Store, One-Day Events and TV (send your jewelry to us) companies.
15 September 2011, Paso Robles California - What Hispanics want to purchase, how much will they spend, and from which retailers is defined in The Hispanic Jewelry Market in the USA: The Hidden Giant 2011, a research report released today by The Jewelry Consumer Opinion Council® (JCOC) to coincide with the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States.
“The results of this study are dramatic and present several significant opportunities to fine jewelry retailers and manufacturers to better understand and cater to the Hispanic market,” announced Marty Hurwitz, CEO of MVI Marketing Ltd. (MVI) the parent company of the JCOC. “Not only is the Hispanic population in the USA exploding, but the Hispanic appetite for watches, diamonds and colored gemstones is voracious,” Hurwitz continued.

12 July 2011, Paso Robles California - In 2005 the Jewelry Consumer Opinion Council® (JCOC), a subsidiary of MVI Marketing Ltd.® (MVI), developed the first ever measurement of the U.S. Hispanic Jewelry Consumer Market. The Hispanic Jewelry Market in the USA: The Hidden Giant, released in February of 2005, revealed the jewelry buying habits and expectations of the U.S. Hispanic consumer and pegged the then market sizing at $1.5 billion per annum.
In June of 2011 the JCOC began the development of a tracking study to validate the findings of the 2005 research, quantify the progression of the market sizing and detail comparisons of the data from 2005 and 2011. The Hispanic Jewelry Market in the USA: The Hidden Giant 2011 report of findings is scheduled for release on 15 September 2011, to coincide with the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States.
11 May 2011 Paso Robles, California - A consumer market research study conducted on behalf of the Silver Promotion Service by MVI Marketing Ltd.’s (MVI) Jewelry Consumer Opinion Council (JCOC) has found a strong consumer appetite for Silver in fine jewelry and significant preferences for Silver as the metal for fine jewelry set with diamonds.
Silver Promotion Service Director Michael Barlerin commenting on the research results said, "We knew from the results of our Nielsen trade research that Silver sales are growing at a record pace. What's gratifying in this consumer study is that the potential market share for Silver in fine jewelry is expanding as consumers see more and more styles, many set with diamonds."
